Many of you know who Phil Hartman was. He was a comedian and actor. He was on Saturday Night Live from 1986-1994. What you may not know is that Phil Hartman was also a graphic designer who created some pretty famous album covers before he became a noteworthy entertainer. The following video contains some of his album artwork and also serves as a brief biography. Enjoy.

Without a doubt The Heart of Saturday Night is one of my favorite albums ever. It never gets old for me. I can't recommend it any higher.

Desert Skies by Beachwood Sparks
On Desert Skies, Beachwood Sparks blends indie rock with light Pet Sounds and This Years Model-era Elvis Costello flourishes. The results aren't quite as interesting as that description would suggest, but Sparks certainly have an appealing sound that is worth checking out—especially if The Shins, Blitzen Trapper and The Replacements are in your top 20.
